"Kutch nahi dekha toh kuch nahi dekha” – this is the tag line of Gujarat Tourism for Kutch. It means “If you’ve not seen Kutch, you ain’t seen anything”. I feel this is a very apt line because Kutch is a place where humanity has existed in a very barren and hostile landscape for thousands of years and yet the people there have retained their warm hearts and amazing arts.

 

On a two day trip to Bhuj, Bhujoudi and Ajrakhpur, we learn a lot about variour Kutchi arts like embroidery, block printing or ‘Ajrakh’, metal craft, leather craft, mud-mirror craft, wood work etc. Moreover, we enjoyed the warm hospitality of the people. They not only welcomed us into their homes, but also in their hearts.
